The No.6 Clairefontaine Pastelmat Pad contains 12 sheets of 360gsm Pastelmat paper in anthracite black. The dark colour really shows up the intensity and brightness of pastel colours and each page is interleaved with crystal paper to protect your drawings.
Clairefontaine Pastelmat Paper is made from ground up cork to give a coarse surface with a fine tooth. This results in a fine grain surface which retains pastel colours well without the need for heavy fixing in between layers while still allowing for fine detail to be achieved. You can even rub out areas of pastel or wet the paper and it will retain its original properties.
This high quality pastel paper is acid free and suitable for soft pastels and pastel pencils. Pastelmat is a popular choice with professional pastel artists.
