Canson Heritage Watercolour Paper Sheets are made from 100% cotton and measure 56 x 76cm (22 x 32"). Each sheet has 4 deckled edges and a watermark.
Canson Heritage Watercolour Paper is acid free and surface sized to create a strong and absorbent paper that can be re-worked without damaging it. This paper remains wetter for longer allowing for optimum working time with the paint. The paper holds the paint very well and brushstrokes don’t bleed into the paper.
This mould-made paper has a unique ‘handmade’ texture that brings out the intensity of the paints' colours and is ideal for watercolour washes as the paint spreads beautifully across the page.
There are two weights available in the single sheets of Canson Heritage Watercolour paper. Choose from 140lbs / 300gsm or a heavier 300lbs / 640gsm paper. If you are doing heavy watercolour washes and want to avoid stretching your watercolour paper then we recommend that you opt for the heavier weight paper.
Canson Heritage Watercolour Paper comes in either Cold Pressed (NOT) - a slight texture and very popular choice, Hot Pressed - very smooth and ideal for fine detail and botanical painting or Rough - the rough texture of this paper is suited to seascapes and landscapes or more abstract watercolour painting. It is also available in blocks and pads in a variety of sizes.
A top of the range watercolour paper for artists.
