There are a range of sizes of Paper Stumps and Tortillions for blending pastels, charcoals and graphite.
Paper Stumps are used for smoothing and blending large areas of pastel or charcoal. They are tightly rolled pieces of paper that can be sharpened and re-used over and over again, making them longer lasting than the tortillions. They are double ended and are great for blending graphite work to achieve soft tones.
Tortillions are slightly different. These are pointed at one end and flat the other. They are more suitable for fine detail work and lifting off colour to create high lights. There are various sizes of Paper Stumps and Tortillions available and a mixed pack of both.
An essential tool for any pastel artist.
