Sennelier Oil Sticks come in 38ml oil bars in 63 colours plus a transparent medium. Made from extra fine pigments in high concentrations, colours are vibrant with excellent light-fastness.
Sennelier Oil Sticks combine artist quality oil paint with a neutral mineral wax to form an oil bar. They come in Series 1, 2 or 3 depending on the pigment used.
Oil Sticks are a great alternative to Oil Paints. They can be used to create more expressive marks and abstract paintings, mixed media pieces and fine detail. You can use them with oil paints and oil mediums.
In the Sennelier Oil Stick range there is a Transparent Medium Oil Stick available which can be used to create glazing effects and make colours more transparent.
They have a smooth, creamy consistency and can be used on canvas, wood, paper, canvas boards and cardboard.
Before use, remove the surface film from the Oil Stick with a scalpel or palette knife. It will re-form again in a few days when not in use.
