Tombow ABT Brush Pens are hard wearing water-based brush pens providing artists the opportunity to use watercolour and marker pen in one. The ink is non-toxic and acid free, although these pens are not recommended for prolonged use in sunlight as they are not lightfast.
The flexible brush tip is made from nylon, which means it is durable and tough, and will spring back into shape after use. Using a brush nib is exactly like using a paintbrush, applying more pressure to the tip makes the line wider, and a lighter stroke will produce thinner, more delicate lines. The tip is soft and very easy to use, making it the perfect choice for a range of hobby, art and craft projects.
On the other end of these pens, there is a fine bullet tip, providing an easy way to create lines and fine detail, where the brush tip is too thick. This tip is also perfect for stencilling, and for outlines in tighter areas.
The water-based ink means that these pens are suitable for water colour effects. Using water, it is possible to blend the colours together, or to make a fainter, more translucent finish. Tombow also supply a blender pen for use where water is not usable.
Available in 96 colours, and a range of sets, Tombow ABT Brush pens have a single ink reservoir, meaning that both tips have exactly the same saturation of ink, and both produce the same colour. This is both economical, and a way to ensure consistent colour coverage over your work. Perfect for rubber stamping, scrap booking, tattoo design, graphics, typography and calligraphy, comics and manga, sketching and all kinds of illustrative purposes, these pens are a great addition to any artists of crafters tools.
