Caran d'ache Grafstone Pencils are graphite sticks made from a pure, solid piece of graphite, in the form of a pencil but without the wood casing. You can use these just like a conventional pencil or break into chunks to create broad sweeps of graphite / tone.

Grafstone Sticks are great for producing expressive lines in your artwork and they can be sharpened with a sandpaper block to get a very fine, strong point to produce fine detail drawings.

Grafstone is available in 3 different degrees to create a variation in tone: HB, 3B & 6B (softest / darkest).
