Conte Carres Pastel Crayons are used by many pastel artists because of the selection of pigments, the lightfastness, the exceptional brightness and the purity of colours provided by these pastels. Conte Pastels are soft to use and can be used in different ways. You can use the flat edge of the pastel to lay down colour quickly and you can use the pastel upright on the angles to create fine lines and sketching techniques. These pastels blend easily and can be overworked.
Conte Carres come in a range of 84 individual colours, with 14 tones that are specifically designed for sketching. They are available in various sets of still life, portrait and landscape tones.
Conte Carres Pastels are suitable for all types of grained surfaces and compatible with other items in the range such as pastel pencils are charcoal. Fixing the pastels afterwards is recommended.
