Galeria Acrylic Surface Preparations

Galeria Acrylic Primers come in two colours for preparing for painting in acrylics. These black and white gessos have been developed for stable surface preparation and can be applied to most clean, porous surfaces.

If you are wishing to prime a plastic surface it will require abrading or sanding for ‘tooth' and mechanical adhesion before priming it with Winsor and Newton Galeria Primer. If you are going to prime a leather surface for acrylic painting it will need to be degreased (with methylated spirits/alcohol) and slightly abraded before applying a coat of Galeria Gesso.
