What Are Posca Paint Pens?
Uni Posca Paint Pens contain water based pigment paint in a pen format. The colours are very opaque and vibrant with a matt finish. They can be used on light and dark surfaces.
Due to their incredibe opaqueness and covering power, once you let a colour dry, a new colour can be put over the top, completely covering the mistaken colour applied beforehand.
Posca Pens do not bleed or seep through the paper so you can write with Posca’s on a stack of papers, draw in sketchbooks, etc.
You can use Posca Paint Pens on sketches, drawings, paintings, canvas, fabrics, photographs & more. You can also use Posca Pens on metal, glass and plastic even though the pigment ink is water-based.
Posca Pens are extremely versatile and come in a large range of colours and nib sizes so that there is a pen suitable for every job!

How Do I Activate A Posca Paint Pen?
Always Shake your Posca Paint Pens with the lid on before use. When using a brand new Posca Pen for the first time you will need to get the paint to flow through to the nib. On a piece of scrap paper, simply push the pen down onto the nib several times until the nib changes from white to the colour of the Posca Pen Ink.
What Nib Sizes & Colours Are Available In Posca Paint Pens?
Posca Paint Pens are available in the following colours and nib sizes so that detailed work can be produced or large areas of colour can be covered quickly:
UNI POSCA PC-1MR – This Posca Paint Pen has a slim line barrel with an extra fine needle point nib that will produce extra fine 0.7mm line widths. It is ideal for fine detail, precision work and writing. Available in 16 colours.
UNI POSCA PCF-350 – This Posca Paint Pen has a flexible soft brush tip. Perfect for free flowing, expressive illustrations. Available in 10 colours.
UNI POSCA PC-1M – This Posca Paint Pen has a hard plastic bullet tip that will produce extra fine 0.7mm line widths. It is ideal for fine detail, precision work and writing. Available in 14 colours.
UNI POSCA PC-3M – This Posca Paint Pen has a round bullet nib that will produce fine line widths of 0.9mm – 1.3mm. Available in 27 colours.
UNI POSCA PC-5M – This Posca Paint Pen has a round bullet nib that will produce medium line widths of 1.8mm – 2.5mm. Available in 33 colours.
UNI POSCA PC-7M – This Posca Paint Pen has a round bullet nib that will produce broad line widths of 4.5mm – 5.5mm. Available in 15 colours.
UNI POSCA PC-8K – This Posca Paint Pen has a square chisel nib that will produce broad 8.00mm line width. Available in 29 standard colours & 5 fluorescent colours.
UNI POSCA PEN PC-17K – This Posca Paint Pen has a square chisel nib that will produce extra broad 15.00mm line width. Available in 8 colours.
Replacement Nibs are available for Uni Posca 3M, 5M & 8K Paint Pens. When using Posca Paint Pens on non absorbent surfaces such as metal, glass, or on outdoor surfaces, you may wish to varnish the item afterwards to protect it from getting scratched.
